- 1
Setup. Split into two teams and choose your categories, from Desi life to Food & drink. Pick a host to hold the phone and run the board, or play host-free and type guesses in.
- 2
Pick a question. Before each round the host can switch category or skip a question nobody likes.
- 3
Face-off. The host reads the question. One player from each team races to answer; whoever names the higher-ranked answer wins control for their team.
- 4
Play. The team in control takes turns naming answers. Every answer on the board adds its points to the pot.
- 5
Strikes. An answer that isn't on the board is a strike. Three strikes and the other team gets a chance to steal.
- 6
Steal. The other team huddles and gives one answer. If it's on the board they take the whole pot; if not, the team in control banks it.
- 7
Win. After the last round (worth double, if you like), the team with the most points wins.
Survey boards come from ProtoQA (Boratko et al., 2020, CC BY 4.0): real Family Feud-style surveys of 100 people, mostly American. Desi life boards are Baithak originals, ranked by our best guess at what a crowd would say.
